Into the #Ashverse: 2023 Ashesi Student Council (ASC) week
The theme for this year's ASC Week was "Into the Ashverse", which is a contraction of the words "Into the Ashesi Universe," and it denotes diving into and exploring the world of Ashesi and all aspects of culture, fun, fashion, and history.
Day 1: Welcome to the Ashverse (Opening Night)
This night was dubbed "Welcome to the Ashverse" and was the outer-space-themed opening party for the entire week.
Day 2: Roots (International Cultural Day)
In the spirit of celebrating our International Community, the Ashesi Student Council and International Students Association partnered with the Office of Diversity and International Programs to celebrate the cultural heritage and traditions of the international cultures represented in the Ashesi community.
Day 3: Blast from the Past (Decades Day)/ Twin Day
From the notorious Nollywood stars to funky hip-hop vibes, we journeyed to the 80s and 90s.
Day 4: Shekeleba (Crazy Day!)
A day to let our hair down and have a blast.
Day 5: Global Cafe (Ghana edition)
A celebration of the diverse cultures from the various regions in Ghana #atAshesi. Members of the community enjoyed cuisines, music, dance performances and engaging exhibitions from the Ghanaian community.
Day 5: Supernova
The final and closing night of the entire Ashesi Student Council Week celebration.
